Kenya Jon Safaris are designed to place photographers—or those who simply enjoy beautiful imagery—eye-to-eye with some of the world’s most spectacular wildlife in their natural environments. Unlike other photo safaris, our expeditions are planned and personally guided by professional photographer, Jonathan Moyer and his team. Jon was born and raised in Africa and grew up taking wildlife photos all over Africa. He now lives in California where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art from Point Loma Nazarene University and where he and his wife started “Jon Moyer Photography”. His passion for wildlife and photography make these trips one of a kind. Jon started Kenya Jon Safari's, Inc. with good friend and business partner, Paul Charles. Paul has extensive experience in the real estate industry and has exceptional customer service skills. Paul also assists Jon on leading the safaris to provide an experience that can seldom be found elsewhere.

Each trip has a limited amount of space because large groups of people and photographing animals do not mix well. The dates for the trips are chosen based on the best possible time of year to photograph the wildlife in the particular destination. Many of Africa’s wilderness areas are extremely rich with life during specific months because of migration routes and rainfall. We study these weather patterns and research the wildlife reports in preparation for every trip. As a professional photographer, Jon understands the importance of being in the right place at the right time in order to get the perfect shot. Our team includes only
the most experienced guides for the areas that we will be shooting.
