Kenya Jon Safaris offers guided tours across the Kenyan landscape. Our safaris are unique from the perspective that you’ll be led by Jon Moyer, a professional photographer who grew up in Africa. Jon was given the name "Kenya Jon" by his college friends in San Diego when they learned of his upbringing and his love for the African wildlife and culture. Join Kenya Jon and experience the planet's richest wildlife on the journey of a lifetime. Jon works full time as a photographer out of San Diego so his Safaris are by special request only. The groups are normally between 12-18 people that share a common interest of what they want to experience on their Safari. Photo-journey to Kenya – 10 day Safari
This trip will visit four of Kenya’s most famous national parks. We will start by venturing north of Nairobi, past the equator to Sweetwaters reserve at the base of mount Kenya. Then pushing further north to Samburu National Park, populated with unique species that cannot be seen south of the equator. Next we turn south-west into the Great Rift Valley to the flamingo filled, Lake Nakuru and ends with a visit to the great plains of Masai Mara. Driving between destinations allows us to see much more of the Kenyan wilderness, small towns and villages.
The Best of Kenya (luxury air and ground safari) 11 Day Safari
This safari will highlight three of Kenya’s most famous national parks and will include air transfers between parks to allow for more time on game drives in the parks. The parks we will explore during this safari are Amboseli National Park, Samburu National Park and Masai Mara National Reserve. All of these areas are incredibly rich with wildlife and are very different from each other, making this safari one of the most diverse experiences in Africa.
The Great Migration (Luxury Safari in Kenya) 10 Day Safari
The primary focus of this safari is to photograph the worldís greatest wildlife spectacle - the 1.5 million animal wildebeest migration.
From the vast Serengeti plains to the champagne colored hills of Kenya's Masai Mara, over 1.4 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra
and gazelle are relentlessly tracked by Africaís great predators as they migrate in a clockwise fashion over 1,800 miles each year in search of rain ripened grass. This trip will spend 10 days in luxury amongst the most populated plains of Masai Mara.
